Yellow Pepper

This little painting is also part of the Strada Challenge I completed. The day's lesson for me was on brushstrokes. Try as I may, some times the brush has a mind of it's own and you end up with a bunch of painting strokes that look like clones. My goal, try not to repeat myself and make the painting look interesting. Harder than it sounds, for me. What are you working on?

Coffee

This is certainly a good day for this painting! Cold, rainly and sorta gloomy. Besides being tasty, it keeps your hands warm. I've finished the Strada Easel, 31 paintings in 31 days. It was a learning curve and great journey. Really think it helped improve my brushstrokes, you will be the judge of that. These little paintings have each been a little lesson. My plan  is to keep painting a little every day. What are you doing today?

Day 4 Oranges

I'm almost a week behind in posting these little paintings. Doing a painting a day is getting a little easier. Trying to find something to paint is becoming less stressful so there is something very positive here. Working everyday makes improvement and I think that applies to our lives also. Chime in anytime and let me know what you think.

Day 3 "Poppies"

I had the worse time trying to photograph this painting due to the glare. Doing a painting a day doesn't allow time for dark colors to dry. Not being a great or even a photographer in the first place really presented in issue for me. Note to self, use camera only in day light...when possible. That's all I have for the day. Back to painting, what are you doing today?

Day 2 of the Strada Challenge

Day 2 was fun and loose, this was Wednesday's post so I'm a few days behind for the blog but, I'll try catching up at some point. Meanwhile, your comments are sure welcome and I look forward to hearing from you. That's all for today.

Strada Challenge

Yes, I've been gone a rather long time...again. A few surgeries starting in May and lasting through November gave me serious set backs but this year we will try making lemonade to compensate. I have started with a lofty challenge of 31 paintings in 31 days. What was I thinking you ask? Don't know, but I'll do my best to continue through the month. Hang in there with me and see just where we go. How did you start your year?
