- Blanche Niznik
- I was born and raised in Pittsburgh (home of the Steelers) and came to the Northwest in 1978. I've been fortunate to travel extensively throughout the world with my sketch book, pen and ink and watercolors. That's easiest for me going through security and customs. When at home my medium of choice is oil and pastel. I love plein air and also working in my little studio. A little jazz or classical music and a paint brush, well, it doesn't get much better. I've taught two wonderful workshops, one in Oahu, Hawaii and the other in El Dorado National Forest. My art class at Kaewyn Gallery in Bothell, WA was a delight however a brief episode with breast cancer temporarily interfered. I'm back, good as new. I've been accepted in Juried Shows as well as Invitationals and will continue to always strive for that next level.
