ONIONS-TWO

This is a small 5x7 painting done on museum board. My goal was to use as few strokes possible. I was painting away in my own little world until my husband came in and asked, "are those chickens?" That was one quick departure. The moral of this is, paint what makes you happy and chase everyone else away, unless they want to buy your work. What are your thoughts? Of course I want to hear them.

  1. I laughed out loud reading your husband's comments. Good for you for writing it. I now know my dear hubby is not the one one who does not "see" art unless it is all spelled out like a photograph.
I love your angles and colors in this one.

  2. Thank you Julie, marriage truly is patience and that is, a virtue. Strokes giving form have really been an interest for me and like your fracturing, comes over a period of time.
